Master’s Degree Earned by Nicole “Niki” Crawson, Extension Agent I, 4-H Youth Development, University of Florida/IFAS Extension, Holmes County.

Niki Crawson has served as the Holmes County 4-H Extension Agent with University of Florida/IFAS Extension for over five years. She began her career with UF/IFAS Extension in 2007. In 2009, she actually left the University of Florida position to relocate with her husband due to his employment with USDA, only to return to her home community in 2012 in which she accepted the Holmes County 4-H Agent position again. Niki’s experience in youth development ranges from teaching high school and middle school English/Language Arts to operating a 21st Century Community Learning Center as an Afterschool Program Coordinator before accepting the position of the Holmes County 4-H Agent in 2007. She is married to Duane Crawson, local County Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency. Duane and Niki reside in Bonifay. Although they have no children, Niki will tell you that her 250 4-Hers are her children!

Niki recently graduated in December of 2015 with her Master’s Degree in Public and Corporate Communication from Florida State University. She plans to continue her college studies in a year to obtain her Ph.D. Her 4-H programming focuses on youth leadership, STEM-related programming such as robotics, shooting sports disciplines and healthy lifestyles.
