2020 Hamilton County Field Corn and Soybean Meeting

On Thursday, January 23rd the UF/IFAS Hamilton County Extension Office will host the 2020 Hamilton County Field Corn and Soybean Meeting. This annual meeting will begin with an optional core pesticide training at 5:00pm for producers who hold a restricted use pesticide license. At 6:00pm Pioneer Seeds Corteva Agriscience will sponsor a dinner with presentations following.

This year’s presentations will include the following: Pioneer Seeds Corteva Agriscience products and agronomy update presented by Kevin Phillips, Pioneer Seeds Field Agronomist, results and observations of the 2019 controlled release fertilizer trials at the NFREC-Suwannee Valley presented by De Broughton, UF/IFAS Extension Regional Specialized Agent, Agronomic Crops, results and observations of the 2019 best management practices grain corn variety trial at the NFREC-Suwannee Valley presented by Joel Love, UF/IFAS Education/Training Specialist II – Best Management Practices, and ag water issues and cost share updates presented by Cliff Starling, Environmental Specialist, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Matthew Cantrell, Project Manager, Ag and Environmental Projects, Suwannee River Water Management District.
