It is time to begin planning your gardening activities.  Learn tips and techniques from UF IFAS Escambia County Extension and Master Gardener Volunteers during several upcoming programs.

Monday, February 10, 2020:  How and When to Prune Shrubs and Trees
6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Pensacola Downtown Library, 239 North Spring Street
Learn about the appropriate times to prune and the proven techniques for obtaining best results in your home landscape.

Wednesday, February 12, 2020:  Growing Milkweeds
6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, 1030 North 57th Avenue, Pensacola 32506. Join our Escambia Extension for a session on the native and tropical milkweeds to grow in your landscape for monarchs and general propagation techniques to grow both types.

Wednesday, February 19, 2020:  Growing Microgreens
6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, 1030 North 57th Avenue, Pensacola 32506. Join our Escambia Master Gardener Volunteers for a demonstration session on growing microgreens at home and the many vegetables and herbs that you can grow as microgreens.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020: Pruning and Dividing Ornamental Grasses
9:00 a.m. at the Escambia Extension office, 3740 Stefani Road, Cantonment
Join volunteers in the garden for a session on how to prune ornamental grasses, dividing larger specimens, and some favorites to add to your garden.   Dress for outdoor weather and bring gloves if you want hands-on experience.
