Citrus Greening: Homeowner Help

Citrus greening is a devastating disease affecting all cultivars of citrus. It is likely caused by a bacteria that is spread through the feeding of a specific insect, the Asian citrus phyllid. Once a tree has the disease, there is no cure.
At this time the Florida Department of Agriculture (FDACS) is offering a pysllid parasite, Tamarixia radiata to interested homeowners to release in their landscapes. This is one method to help slow the spread of citrus greening disease.
If you would like to receive a parasite for release in your yard, please visit www.FreshFromFlorida.com/TRA to complete a short application.
