Looking for interactive, fun, and educational activities for the summer? Join 4-H for the summer! We will offer day camps throughout the month of June with many more to come in July. Stay tuned here and at 4-H Youth Development to keep up to date on the latest in 4-H day camp offerings. Registration information to come soon!

Garden to Plate Day Camp, June 2nd, 8am-2pm – Get in the kitchen with Chef David Bearl as he leads us in an interactive learning experience about cooking and grocery shopping on a budget. Youth ages 9-16 will participate in activities that promote healthy lifestyles and Florida agriculture as they discuss gardening techniques and food safety to understand the journey of food from the garden to the plate. Register by May 15th. (Lunch included in registration)

Dairy Day Camp, June 17-19th, 8am-2pm each day – Join us for three days of exploring the world of dairy. From care and biology to how to use the products of dairy cows, this camp will introduce you to the dairy industry while you make new friends and enjoy dairy related activities. Youth ages 8-17 are welcome. The deadline to register is June 12th

Water Conservation Day Camp, June 29th, 8am-2pm – join Master Gardeners and Extension faculty in an exploration of the importance of water to our planet, how nature works to conserve it, and how we can do our part. We’ll get hands on with plants and water (prepare to get wet!) as we learn the mechanics of water use and protection. Youth ages 8-17 are welcome.

Community Awareness and Service Day Camp, July 15th, 8am-2pm – Start gathering up your trash. We will take trash items like plastic bags and jugs that you collect and reuse them to make useful items for people in need. This camp will focus on overuse and its environmental and social consequences. Teens age 12-17 are welcome.

Unless otherwise noted all day camps will meet at the Langley Bell 4-H Center at 3730 Stefani Rd. and will require a $5 registration fee as well as a brown bag lunch. Also please be sure to wear closed toed shoes.

ALSO – Don’t forget about week long SUMMER CAMP!

Summer Camp at Camp Timpoochee, June 8-12th, overnight camp – This week long overnight summer camp will engage youth in educational and recreational activities including kayaking, campfires, games, adventure courses, and the like. Join us! (Cost is $240 per youth)

Registration is first come first serve. Spots will only be reserved with your camp fee payment. Spots are limited for each camp. Please complete both a Day Camp Registration Form as well as a Participation Form and return these with your camp fee to the 4-H office.
