Aquaponics is a process where fish produce nutrients for plants and the plants improve the water quality for the fish. These systems can be used to produce either vegetables and greens and/or fish for a source of food. Either as a hobby or a supplemental income aquaponics can be a great hobby. This program will introduce the basics of how systems function, which plants and fish can be used, build small scale systems for demosntration, and visit a local system in operation.
