Cold Damage on Palms

Many landscape palms are showing signs of cold injury. Homeowners should not be pruning at this time since the area will likely experience more cold. When warm weather returns, only remove those leaves (fronds) that are completely brown. Any green tissue will be making necessary food (photosynthesizing) to help palms survive and grow. Call UF IFAS Extension in your county for more information.
