2020 EDIS Stats Report

This post was originally distributed via the IFAS-Announce-L listserv on November 17, 2020. For annual reporting purposes, EDIS measures the year from November 16 through November 15.

2020 Web visits to EDIS publications are now available on the EDIS website at http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/stats.html.

  • Use the search form to select publications by author, department, or title keyword
  • Note that all publications from 2017 and earlier are shaded orange as “past sunset” but this fall’s sunsets are actually postponed until spring.

NEW this year: TOP 20 Spanish publications (bottom table) & 2019 rank for comparison to position in last year’s top 100.

EDIS Website summary

This year the EDIS website logged 17.5 million pageviews.

We currently serve 6,451 publications.

Note on data sources

Document level statistics are based on visits recorded in the web server log file and analyzed using Urchin 7. Most other UF/IFAS sites use Google Analytics pageviews for reporting. Because Google Analytics uses a script embedded on the website to gather information, it has more robust features and a more complete picture of how visitors are using the website. For EDIS, Google Analytics has not been able to accurately capture PDF downloads or mobile site traffic. This is not the case for most UF/IFAS web pages, which have a tracking code present on every page to track file downloads, mobile site traffic, and more.
