4-H Chick Chain

Chick Chain LogoThe 4-H Chick Chain is a program designed to help youth learn how to raise pullets (baby female chicks) into mature production hens to learn responsibility, record keeping, and communication skills. The culmination of this program is a show and optional auction. Members participate in workshops to learn how to care for their chicks and show their hens. They keep records and complete a record book. This program was piloted last year in Walton, Holmes, Washington, Jackson, Liberty and Leon counties and is open to any 4-H member in the northwest district.
