Repurposed Container Garden Contest Open to Everyone!

Calhoun County 4-H is excited to announce their First Annual Repurposed Container Gardening Contest. The contest is open to people of all ages. There are individual and team divisions for adults and individual and team divisions by age for youth. There is also a business division. Entries will be judged in the vegetable or ornamental category (depending on the types of plants in the container) as well the creativity and originality of the repurposed container. Individuals, families, businesses, church groups, civic organizations, and school classrooms are encouraged to participate. Entries are to be dropped off at the Calhoun County 4-H Learning Gardens on April 28th between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM CDT. A lunch hour drop-off will also be available from noon to 1:00 CDT. Entries will remain on display at the Learning Gardens through May 16th, when they will be picked up by their owners. The entry fee is $5 per entry.
