UF/IFAS Extension Bay County Welcomes New Employee

On December 6, 2019, the UF/IFAS Extension Bay County Office welcomed Melanie Taylor as their new Family & Consumer Science Extension Agent.

Melanie is no stranger to Extension. She grew up in Virginia 4-H and followed in her dad’s footsteps to become a 4-H Extension Agent for eight years in Virginia. Upon getting married, she relocated with her husband, Bryan, to Panama City. For the past eleven years she has worked as the 4-H and Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent in Gulf County. She is excited to now be working in the Bay County Office and focusing 100% of her time on Family and Consumer Science programs. She is very eager to be working within the county she lives and to give back to her community through Extension programs.

The programs offered will consist of, but are not limited to, healthy living, financial management, cooking and nutrition, managing relationships and community sustainability. If you have program suggestions or are interested in participating in one of the FCS programs please contact Melanie Taylor at metaylor@ufl.edu or 850-248-8091. The UF/IFAS Extension Bay County Office is located at 2728 E. 14th St, Panama City. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-12 pm and 1:00 pm-5 pm. The office follows Bay County holiday closings.
