UF Hiring Community Tutors

The University of Florida has partnered with the Tutor Matching Service to hire UF students as paid tutors for the K-12 community as well as in the UF student community.

Community tutors can elect to tutor online or in person and can even set their availability and rate (average rate is $15/hour). Community tutors do not have to be a professional tutor to sign up – they just need to feel comfortable teaching math, science, or whatever subject they choose to teach others.

When signing up to become a tutor, a background check as well as a UF conduct check will be performed (at no cost to you). Selected candidates will also be required to complete an online tutor training class (also at no cost to you).

***NOTE: UF students requiring assistance with current courses may also use the UF Community Tutor Service to be matched with a tutor and receive private tutoring for payment.
